Martin Head, Webmaster 1995-2000

The AASP Web page was created by in 1995* by Martin Head, while at the University of Toronto, and he continued to maintain and develop the website after moving to Cambridge in 1999. He is currently Professor at Brock University, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. In addition to the home page [1996 homepage] it included the email directory. The site was hosted on the University of Toronto server.
By 1999 the AASP homepage had grown considerably and included nearly all the elements found in the later AASP sites [1999 homepage]

Paul Strother, Webmaster 2000-2004

Paul Strother is a Professor in Geology and Geophysics at Boston College. He introduced many new features to the AASP website, including graphical menus and java scripts. [2000-2004 homepage] The site included coordinated page designs, making it easy to navigate. Initially hosted on the Boston College server, Paul obtained our domain name "Palynology.org," and transferred the site to a commercial isp (Dreamhost).

Owen Davis, Webmaster 2004-

Owen Davis is a Professor of Geosciences at the University of Arizona. Building on the accomplishments of his predicessors, and relying on the programming skills of UA Geosciences System Programmers Steve Sorenson and Enida Lima, he set up a secure site to permit online sales of AASP Foundation Publications. To the earlier sites [2004 homepage] he added automated (php) forms, a meeting registration page, and a history-biographies page. In 2008, the (homepage) was revised to commemorate the change in the name to "AASP - The Palynological Society," the revision of the AASP Logo and the initiation of the ZenCart-based commercial page.
