With much regret the Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales announced the unexpected death of its good friend and colleague . During his 30 years of association with the Museum he had served as Head of the Paleobotanical Division, member of the Carrera del Investigador of the Conicet and the editor of the Boletin de la Asociacion Latinoamericana del Paleobotanico y Palinologia. We all regret the untimely passing of Dr. Mendez.
